Lately with all of Spring’s brights, neons, and florals, my makeup routine has been minimal. I’ve been on the hunt for a color and texture of lip color that looks like my lips, but better and more polished. A Parisian Night In.
Sometimes City Girls need a break from the hustle and bustle. A night in rejuvenates us and relaxes us so we can continue to take on the world day by day. Why not theme your night in and soak up joie de vivre like a Parisienne? What’s more luxurious than silk pj’s, fanciful music, and an uplifting arty film? Nothing, I tell you.
To start, turn on some Edith Piaf & Charles Aznavour. Then, slip into some silky pijamas & bow slippers, light the candles, and spritz a little YSL on your wrists. Next, unwrap those macarons you’ve been trying not to eat all afternoon and pop the bubbly. Finally, apply an extra hydrating creme from La Mer or Laura Mercier as a mask and let it sit while you paint your nails with Essie’s Ballet Slippers. Now, turn on Amelie (2001), Les Choiristes (2004), or L’arnacœur (2010) for some heart-warming, smile-inducing, film watching.
