7 Things I Want Right Now [in oxblood].
[Disclaimer: This brownish red the season’s hottest color. You may also see it referred to as wine or burgundy. Oxblood is my personal favorite.]
Rebecca Minkoff Large Affair bag —I already own 2 amazing RM bags -call me a Minkette!- and I cannot get enough. This quilted stunner is the perfect size for daily essentials, but looks amazing as an evening bag as well. The Italian leather is so buttery soft and the shape is timeless.
Alexander Wang booties —A slip on bootie is the most versatile shoe in a Fall wardrobe. I guarantee you will not run out of ways to wear them, whether with a dress, skinny jeans, maxi skirt, or wide leg pants.
All Saints leather moto jacket —A motorcycle jacket is a great change-up to a blazer, and quite a bit warmer. I really like to juxtapose a style like this one with a floaty dress to toughen up a floral print, but it looks just as polished over a slouchy sweater and black jeans.
Covergirl lipstick in Euphoria —I love the way a berry lip looks on anyone, and this formula glides on like butter. I apply it straight from the tube, then smudge it with my finger for a berry-stained look that is on point for Fall.
RGB nail polish  — One of my favorite “winter” polishes as a kid was Brucci Black Cherry— stolen from my mom’s collection, of course. This polish from RBG is the identical twin to my favorite shade and it’s oh-so-chic on super short, square nails.
Forever 21 Patent skinny belt — A great way to try “oxblood” for only a few dollars: belt a blazer, a dress, or a cardigan with this stylish little piece.
Minnetonka moccasin —I would need more hands to count the City Girls I’ve seen in NYC subways switching from moccasins to stilettos before work. They are super comfy, don’t compromise your outfit the way most sneakers do, and can get stuffed into your purse without taking up too much space. I’ve been wearing Minnetonkas since I was 2, and this color update for Fall is just what I’ve been looking for.

Fall Trend Report.
Embrace your inner urban cowgirl with a great fringe bag, a Western hat, and some lace up booties. Just wear one piece at a time or you’ll risk looking like you left Texas Roadhouse.
Go monochromatic with grey on grey, black on black, or my new favorite— red on red. Minimal accessories in neutral colors keep this look fresh.
Give your feet a break from stilettos and try some chunky heels! My arches are thanking me already. The heel height should be under 4.5 inches and over 2 inches, to make this 70s trend more modern.

City Girl Logic: Skimp or Splurge?
A pair of cowboy booties make a seamless transition from late Summer to Fall in any closet. Wear them with skirts and dresses now, and layer them with socks and slim pants for the colder days ahead. Which ones will you choose? Forever 21 for $27.80 or Ash via Shopbop for $220?

If Money Was No Object

I’ve had my eye on these 5 little luxuries for a few weeks now, and I’ve been deciding which one to save up for and buy first.
