When I was 16 and got my first job (other than babysitting) at a fine jewelry store, my first paycheck paid for a brand new Liz Claiborne wallet (with room for my very important, very own checkbook— am I dating myself?).
Lately when I look down at my wallet, I realize it’s years old, tearing at the seams, and dirty. What sophisticated lady would carry a wallet like that? I’ve handpicked 6 wallets that are classic in shape, leather, and offer lots of storage for cards, cash, and coins. So what will it be, City Girls? I think I may need to buy one small and one large to hold me over for the next few years. Hold on bank account, you’re going for a ride.
My sister has this saying, which is more of a justification for purchasing something new, that something is “for life”. This means you only need to buy a high quality version of it once and you’re set. Almost always, these are items are more than she would be willing to spend for trendier pieces, but their timelessness is worth the few extra dollars.
